NTAA attends TPB's inaugural CEO and Chair forum
The Tax Practitioners Board ('TPB') recently held its inaugural TPB CEO and Chair Forum in Sydney, which we were pleased to attend.
During the forum, professional associations discussed insights as to what they are observing in the broader environment and identified key risks and emerging issues impacting the tax profession. Among the matters raised were:
- challenges of regulatory burden and fatigue for smaller tax practitioners;
- emergence of digital service providers and artificial intelligence; and
- uncertainty regarding the operation of sanctions reform, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing ('AML/CTF') Rules, and Payday Super.
The forum provided a great opportunity to represent the interests of our members, and we will continue to advocate for change in this space.
