This is the option you choose if you want to continue to help clients set up SMSFs and become a “full on” financial adviser to service a full range of all your clients’ needs.

Step 1:  Join NTAA ADVICE

The Association for accountants who advise on SMSFs for only $99 per member per year to gain access to a telephone helpline discounts and much more.

Step 2:  Get Qualified

Undertake the Diploma of Financial Planning (see brief outline below) through Pinnacle Financial Services Academy (RTO number 91217), a wholly owned subsidiary of the NTAA.

This is an holistic financial planning study program which provides students with full RG 146 compliance in personal advice across all ASIC advice areas. This will allow them to be authorised under a full services Australian Financial Services Licensee (such as InterPrac Financial Planning Pty Ltd) and provide a full suite of financial services for their clients. This covers all RG146 specialist areas in order to offer advice to clients in these areas:

  • Financial Planning
  • SMSF/Superannuation;
  • Managed Investments;
  • Life and General Insurance
  • Securities; and
  • Margin Lending

Upon successful completion of this offering, members will be awarded the Diploma of Financial Planning – FNS50611.

This course is an online course and you will be emailed the ebook for your study. All assessments (multiple choice questions) are completed online and the course finishes with an assignment at the end.

Step 3.  Become Authorised

After you complete the Diploma of Financial Planning (RG 146) you can apply to join a full services licence, such as, InterPrac Financial Planning Pty Ltd, and become an Authorised Representative (AR) of the Licence.
